“The boy declared: he would cleave the ocean for me, and swallow the dusk on my behalf.”
He never turned his head, but walked straight on.
The artist scattered his departing figure into drifting shreds of paper,
gathered them once more,
and with a signature,
fastened their fate together with the artwork.
In this new work, watermark handmade paper is weaved with photographic image.
With layers and layers of stacking images made of paper, the scenery of ocean expands in front of viewers.
As if the water, the memory, and the emotion, is coming toward us with the wave.
