Flora of formosa

Flora of Formosa redefines Taiwan’s fine art printmaking, inspired by the beauty of a “blank sheet.” In the 21st century, YANG Chung-Ming pushes the boundaries of fine art prints, exploring the potential of materials and mediums. His work liberates “paper” from its traditional role, combining handmade paper techniques with fiber research from the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute.

After years of experimentation, YANG resurrects spaces, objects, and botanical specimens from the Japanese colonial period in delicate, inkless forms. The Flora of Formosa series presents fragile, ethereal beauty that deeply moves viewers, reflecting YANG’s innovative approach to art.
