If a watch embodies "time," can the movement beneath its glass convey time's rhythm differently? YANG Chung-Ming's work One uses multiple images to depict a cycle of emergence, transformation, disappearance, and reappearance, mirroring life. Are we seeing numbers or time through the watch face? The watch reflects not just numbers but humanity's collective belief in time. Does this simple form hide complex relationships between the individual and the collective? Slowly, the watch mechanism assembles birds symbolizing time, eventually merging them into an indistinguishable singular entity.
