In Sound of Reticence, YANG Chung-Ming presents obscure text written in charcoal on black paper, resisting interpretation. The act of opening and sealing a letter becomes a reflection on the past. Two lovers stand expressionless on a paddleless boat, surrounded by weightless objects and lifeless plants, creating a story without a plot but full of possibilities. Through life-sized imagery, Yang invites viewers to experience the duality of recalling or forgetting memories, prompting them to ask: how would you respond?
