Flora of formosa
Under the moon: Grape-leaved anemone
60×15.8 cm
2024
Artist YANG Chung-Ming uses a rubber plate to print the floral form of the White-vented Bulbul, employing the Ming Dynasty’s arch flower technique to delicately emboss the branch textures, highlighting smooth lines and the wood’s natural grain. Each stroke captures the flower's softness and essence on paper. Plant-dyed handmade paper adds a velvet-like depth, enriching the work with luxurious texture and layers. Silver ink, rolled onto the fibers, depicts a serene moonlit scene, adding a mysterious radiance and a subtle fragrance emerging from the darkness.
